Solar Foods named as top10 startup company in Finland

Talouselämä, Nordic region’s largest weekly business magazine, has named Solar Foods as one of the most promising startup companies in Finland in 2020. This marks the second year in a row that Solar Foods makes the list.
The top 10 businesses chosen by Talouselämä are all true leaders in their field. Some have already entered a more advanced stage, some are still in their product development phase, but all share a common target for rapid internationalisation and growth. Each company also possesses a type of innovation and business model that the jury believe to have the potential to become a global market leader in its field.
Selection of the list is made by a panel of experts together with the editorial staff of Talouselämä. The focus this year was on the versatility of the hottest start-up industry. The Talouselämä jury praised the participants, which have risen to new levels in ambition and know-how. Among the participants there were new, more creative earnings models, high-tech, and innovative, highly scalable service companies.
“Solar Foods has a big vision for solving the problem of global food production. The product has an endless number of applications. The company has launched a pilot plant, and has progressed in collaborations with large industrial players,” commented the jury.
Talouselämä selected the most promising startup companies now for the ninth time.
